Following the success of IWM Presents: Das Boot, and in the month of D-Day, join us onboard HMS Belfast for a screening of the Ealing Studios classic The Cruel Sea (1953) starring Jack Hawkins. Filmed onboard a Royal Navy Corvette, it was nominated for the Best British Film BAFTA and cemented Jack Hawkins as a leading man.
The screening will be followed by an expert discussion featuring captivating material from our Film Archive. Doors open for the event at 1pm, but why not arrive 15 minutes earlier and enjoy the King's Birthday Salute from the decks of HMS Belfast?
