IWM London | IWM Presents: The Zone of Interest
Ahead of Holocaust Remembrance Day on 27 January, IWM London presents a screening of Jonathan Glazer's Oscar winning The Zone of Interest. Based on the novel by Martin Amis, the film depicts the life of Rudolf Höss, and his wife Hedwig, as they strive to build a dream life in their home beside Auschwitz concentration camp where Höss is camp commandant.
The film will be introduced and discussed by IWM's Head of Public History James Bulgin, who was content lead for the museum's Holocaust Galleries, and Professor Barry Langford, who has researched and written on the depiction of the Holocaust in television and on film.
