HMS Belfast | VE Day 80 Afternoon Tea: HMS Belfast

Join us aboard HMS Belfast for an exclusive afternoon tea in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the VE Day celebrations of 8th May 1945.

The afternoon will begin with an engaging talk by one of our expert guides in the Officers' dining room, who will dive into the fascinating world of wartime cuisine on board HMS Belfast, offering insights into how sailors dined during the intense days of World War II. Following this talk, guests will enjoy a themed afternoon tea, featuring classic British treats inspired by 1940s rationing and naval recipes.

In addition to the afternoon tea, guests are offered the chance to upgrade their tickets and join an exclusive Second World War tour covering more of the ship's role during the conflict, including the Arctic Convoys and D-Day. The tours take place at 10am and 2pm before and after the afternoon tea, and have limited spaces available.

Please be aware that the café and shop on HMS Belfast can only accept payments by card. Regrettably, we are unable to accept cash.
